Elephant Park Pavilion

Elephant Park Pavilion was designed by Bell Phillips Architects, it was part of a £2.3 Billion project by Lenleased, which created 3000 new homes and created the open space that surrounds. This Pavilion contains WC’s, food and beverage kiosks, a community space and viewing terrace. It was important to analyse the materials used in the pavilion and the components, due to the pavilion having a 50 year lifespan (unlike the 30-70 year lifespan of the components). We were tasked to take elements from the pavilion to combine with the Mill House, to adapt the old components instead of them ending up in landfill. Within my final proposal I have incorporated the CLT timber, bamboo decking and galvanised steel railings.
