The Patera

The task of this project was to adapt this Patera building into a theatre design to attract the local community to the docklands area. Below is a laser cut model of the Patera, which helped to inform my further design decisions. Also shown below are interior views and concept collages of the proposed design using the existing Patera structure to inform my design choices. 

It is clear from all my projects that there has been an emphasis on adaptive reuse of buildings and why it is so important to use materials we have rather than extracting new materials from our earth’s finite resources.
